Provides groups, classes, presentations, workshops, and seminars upon request or as needed, pertaining to mental health topics. This service is available for an array of audiences throughout the community. Most of my adult clients come to me because of problems with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family problems and work stresses. Most clients have a mixture of these concerns. Many therapy clients are ordinary people struggling with common, everyday issues. My greatest interest in my private practice is helping people struggling with depression, adults who have been exposed to severe trauma, bipolar disorder, and all parties of the criminal justice system (treatment of offenders, helping victims of crime, and assisting criminal justice system personnel – all parties of law enforcement, legal professionals, and law students). I have worked with immigrants from a variety of cultures as well as first- generation Americans, people managing trauma and crisis, and members of the LGBTQ community and their families. I enjoy working with people, even when their lives are very troubled and complicated. Over the years I have become familiar with a wide variety of problems that people bring to therapists. These types of cases and concerns are all in a day's work for me. I sometimes treat children, depending on the child's age and the nature of the problem. Whenever possible, I first try to assist children by helping the parents understand how to assist them. "But My Problem Is not On the List ..." That is okay. This list is not all encompassing of every single specific issue that I am able to assist you with. If for some reason your issue is beyond the scope of my training, experience, expertise, or ability; I will let you know and provide you with some referral recommendations. |
